Thank you for supporting Pussy Riot

On Tuesday, July 3rd 2012, Red Dawns festival, City of Women festival and Lesbian-Feminist University organised a protest and benefit concert in support of the Russian feminist activist group Pussy Riot.

With your help, we collected 600 EUR. We transferred the donation to Mr. Feygin Mark Zakharovich, a member of Pussy Riot’s legal defence team.

We would like to thank all contributors for your support. At the same time, we appeal to you to sign Amnesty International’s petition, demanding the dropping of all charges against these prisoners of conscience and their immediate release from detention. The accused and detained activists Maria Alyokhina, Nadezdha Tolokonikova and Jekaterina Samucevich have been, according to Mr. Feygin’s blog and other sources, on hunger strike since July 4^th 2012 – in protest against the court’s continuous violations of Russian Constitution and of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

We want to thank all the bands (Iamdisease, Sentence, Škrip Orkestra and Ludovik Material) and DJanes (Tigresse and Sister) who supported the event, all the individuals, collectives and media that supported the protest and the concert, especially journalist Polona Frelih, photographer Nada Žgank, designer Tjaša Križnar, venue Menza pri koritu and the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana.
