Performing Gender – Dance makes differences is an international project, which centralizes the relationships between dance, gender and activism.
It is a two-year European Cooperation Project between Italy, Slovenia, Spain, The Netherlands and United Kingdom, which offers dance and performance artists the space and time for education, exchange and artistic research. The project aims at supporting and developing proffesional staff at acquiring the knowledge and tools necessary for exploring these contents. It wants to encourage new narrations and representations of sexual identities at different ends of Europe and to raise awareness among the general public about the proposed topics through art and staging.
City of Women's call is for Slovenia based artists, partner's calls for UK, Italy, The Netherlands and Spain is available at project's main website www.performinggender.eu.
