A Path of Their Own: 25 Excursions into Women’s History

The bilingual, Slovenian-English tourist guide invites you to visit 25 towns and villages that were home to women pioneers who have paved the way to a professional life for women on Slovenian territory. It presents women revolutionaries who had fought for a decent life, and the first women to make a living by doing paid work. As many of them left no material traces, the book adds unusual scenery, such as a public square, a bridge, a botanical garden, and an inn, to the mix of the more expected attractions, such as castles, museums, homesteads, and galleries. To many joyous, emphatic, passionate, and curious excursions into women’s history!
