Fresh edition of the "City of Women: Reflecting 2020/2021", onthology, containing our reflections on the key highlights of last year’s festival and season, has been published!that held its 26th edition in the transition period from the first to the second wave of the epidemic.

The City of Women Festival held its 26th edition in the transition period from the first to the second wave of the epidemic. For the City of Women, the answer to the question on whether it makes sense to tackle gender issues at the time of world challenges, such as climate change, the pandemic, inequality, poverty, migrations and growing nationalisms, is undoubtedly: yes, now more than ever! As the collection before you demonstrates, the discussion on gender equality is long-lasting, however, by no means obsolete. It is precisely the opposite – relevant in numerous fields and far from concluded. Therefore, the essay collection presents women and their fight for the acknowledgement of their social, political and economic positions, namely through thematic scopes: Artistic Production, Social Activism and Educational Arts. Thus, its editor Jasmina Jerant, along with the City of Women, calls out: “Come close, let us discuss gender equality in the time of world challenges.”

The launch of the essay collection concludes the season 2020/21, opening the door to the new season.
