Celebrating the 25th edition of the City of Women Festival, we are proud to look at the 25 years of creative endeavours by female video artists in Slovenian space. We will open the exhibition Cheers to Women! 25 years in Film and Video with a performance by Ana Čigon Cheers to Women! A Performative Appetizer to Video Art.
Ana Grobler will give a lecture on feminist video art in SCCA on September 26th.

A part of the programme is connected to the marathon with the same title at Kinoteka - October 3rd, from Noon to Midnight, while some films will be screened in the regular programme of the national broadcaster Televizija Slovenija.

DRAWERS
The 25th International Festival of Contemporary Arts - City of Women will be opened with the legendary women’s theatre collective She She Pop from Berlin, who will be in Slovenia for the first time. Women from West Berlin in the performance Drawers rummage through the drawers of women who grew up on the Eastern side of the Berlin wall. KINDS OF PRESSURE
Kinds of Pressure speaks to City of Women’s 25 years of history, testing different ways of being together and performing different political realities in the here and now.
Guided tour with the artist Alicja Rogalski at 17.30 on the same day as the opening.
