Requiem for the Future is an experiment/ performance in which the human body is substituted with animals and machines.

Conceptually it is related to the postanthropocentric deconstruction of dualism of the Cartesian view of the animal machine. According to Descartes, the animal is a set of sounds produced by a complex mechanism of fluids, muscles and bones. Lacking a soul. What is then a machine but artificial intelligence and how can a (non)dialogue between animal and artificial intelligence be interpreted?
