Your City of Women Festival BLOGGERS are here, and already looking, and watching, and imagining the best ways to describe all the activity. Day 2 of the festival and you can hear the click clack of computer keys as musings are sculpted into blog posts. But before you get to the reading, here are brief biographies of the writers.

Shannon Cochrane (Canada)
Shannon Cochrane is a performance artist and cultural worker. She lives and works in Toronto, Canada. She is the current Director of FADO Performance Art Centre (established in 1993), a Toronto-based artist-run centre that presents the work of contemporary performance artists year-round. Shannon is a member of the Advisory Editorial Board of Total Art Journal, an on-line magazine focusing on performance and live art practices. She is also a founding member, curator, and organizer of the 7a*11d International Festival of Performance Art. (established in 1997), one of Canada's longest running biennales dedicated to performance art practices.

Ann-Sofie Öman (Sweden)
Ann-Sofie Öman is a translator and freelance journalist working mainly in the field of the arts. She has a university degree from the University of Lund in Sweden (English/Philosophy/Communication). Ann-Sofie has also studied music (a lot), creative writing, and preventive health care. Ann-Sofie started to write for the Swedish newspaper Helsingborgs Dagblad when she was 17. She was the first woman sports journalist at that newspaper, and one of the first woman sports journalists in Sweden. She is covering the City of Women Festival and the Red Dawn Festival for the Swedish magazine Danstidningen.
Olalla Lemus (Spain)
Performance artist from Spain engaged on giving a new voice to dance and theatre works through positive responses to generate arguments to bring closer artists and audiences. With background in contemporary dance and physical theatre, she has worked with numerous art projects specially as a contemporary performance maker and dancer. She has also worked as video j and editing for an mayor music theatre installation by english composer which was selected at SeenSound: Visual and Music Series at Loop back room Melbourne in 2012.Graduated in Sociology and arts with Ma, has balanced out the theory and practical methods to approach to problems. She keeps currently feeding with new research about the impact and governability of the culture in her home region: Galicia. As vocation she writes for malamba gacette under the title "words for pleasure”.
