Werker Magazine (based in Amsterdam) is a contextual publication about photography and labour initiated by MarcRoig Blesa (1981, Madrid) and Rogier Delfos (1981, Amsterdam). This collaborative project inquires into the possibility of formulating a contemporary representation of work. It asks such questionsas: “In which forms does work appear in post-fordist society? ”and“ What representations of labor are being produced nowa days?”. To analyse this, Werker Magazine is building an international community of contributors, the so-called Domestic Worker Photographers Network. For the occasion of GDR GOES ON at The City of Women Festival, Werker Magazine presents this on going project, and you can contribute! For more information, visit http://werkermagazine.org.

To date, Werker Magazinehas been produced and/or distributed in venuesincluding: Tate Modern, The Showroom, London, 2013; Scapegoat Journal, Toronto,2012; Matadero Madrid, Madrid, 2012; Ellen de Bruijne Projects, Amsterdam, 2012; Espai Cultural Caja Madrid, Barcelona, 2012; NY Art Book Fair, New York, 2012; La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, Barcelona, 2011; Casco - Officefor Art Design and Theory, Utrecht, 2011; Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam, Amsterdam, 2011; Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam, 2009; and Contemporary Art Screen Zuidas, Amsterdam, 2009.
