Plea on a Sofa (Zagovor na zofi)

A decadence of figures, performed by Leja Jurišić and Teja Reba in the performance Sofa, illustrates the erosion of cultural and neoliberal Europe and the ever stronger rejection of intellectuality. A stinging performance in which each individual spectator can choose their own "rhyme". (After Helmut Ploebst, Der Standard, 4/5.12.2010).

This re-enactment of a two-hour performance will be dedicated to the three members of the punk group Pussy Riot who were, following a 50-second performance at Moscow cathedral, sentenced to two years in prison. We will draw material from the content of the closing argument at the courthouse, held by Nadezhda Tolokonnikova. (Leja Jurišić, Teja Reba)
