ILLUSION Dresses
Durational Performance
“Illusion is something which is not true and not false.” Performances, created around special, mysterious outfits, are presented by Áine Phillips over three days of the festival. Each day, she re-interprets the etymology of “Abracadabra”, which means “I create as I speak”, into three durational, correlative performances created as an expansion on the theme. “Abracadabra” was also thought to have healing properties. Each Dress-performance will be devoted to one of these functions: creating, speaking, healing. Áine Phillips will be embedded in the audience and public spaces of the Tabor Park during three days of the festival.
The installation will be displayed until October 30th.
