Baxter, Vera Baxter

Vera Baxter is a miserable captive of a villa on the Atlantic coast. Her husband Jean, whom she used to love, has not only cheated on her but has also bribed a man into become her lover in order to restore equilibrium to the marriage. Vera is suffering and thinking about suicide.
