OOZ

Interactive Installation

OOZ is a series of experiments with ‘animal models’ that allow us to test our assumptions about social organization, animal cognition, and human-animal interaction. By means of human/animal interfaces the project tries to promote human relations with non-domesticated animals, as well as enables an observation of our own understanding of these animals in order to be able to re-imagine these relationships. OOZ is also an experiment that questions the logic of progress and technological development. Through an interactive sound installation in the Ljubljana ZOO, Natalie Jeremijenko will demonstrate cooperation between humans and animals, encouraging humans to perceive of themselves as half-human or non-human in order to develop a more realistic understanding of the environment.
