Active Environmental Citizenship

The Active Environmental Citizenship Workshop aims at informing participants as to how they can contribute to the protection of the environment, not only on a personal, individual level, but on the level of environmental policymaking and implementation. Based on concrete examples, the lecture will illustrate how measures for an environmentally-friendly lifestyle can be taken on a personal level, as well as ways in which we can participate in creating environmental policies – be it in Slovenia, Europe, or globally – through active citizenship. In the event of fair weather, participants will have a chance to participate in a street action. Otherwise they will join in groups to design projects for citizen’s active engagement in creating environmental policies.
