Divided States of America – Laibach 2004 (Razdružene države Amerike – Laibach 2004 Tour)

In November 2004, immediately following George W. Bush’s re-election as President – something that deeply upset all liberal Americans – the group Laibach embarked on their fourth American tour. In addition to the music, the tour – encompassing mainly cities in ‘democratic’ states and Canada – also reflected an ideological charge and post-election frustration. The current situation worldwide and in particular in the USA was not only expressed through the music and pamphlets produced by group members, but also by the concert audiences as well as bystanders.

The film entitled Divided States of America also features the singer and cellist Bonfire Madigan, who supported Laibach during their US tour. She will perform at City of Women on Thursday 5^th October at 11 pm in Menza pri koritu, AKC Metelkova mesto!
