Abscene: A young female of the Tupinomos tribe from “Water Which Hides Itself” says “I do” today
Its base is soil and water. This unique concept, invented by the artist in both label and content, is described by her: “Abscene is a new word and I do it today. Now, Abscene is full-time. Abscene ascends, somehow. Ab is a short cut, expresses ideas of fast-flowing, rapidness, from A to B, quite linear. One’s subjective line of thought lingers in different points. Ab is also a prefix for away, abominated. It is simple, not quite as complex as the prefix Ob, which refers to openness, exposure, opposition, resistance, blocking, finality, completeness and the inverse. I choose Ab particularly because it is not Ob. However, Ab is moments from being all Ob is. I do not want it to disappear, today.”
